Summer Safe Dogs

Please keep your dogs safe in the heat this Summer!!

We often forget that unlike us dogs can't sweat and can overheat very easily.

Especially dogs with flat faces, they technically shouldn't be walked over 25c.

  • 35°c - Exercise your dog early or very late in the night.

  • 30°c - Never walk your dog when it's over 30°c

  • 25°c - Never leave your dogs in a parked car on a warm day.

  • Test is Best: Check the ground temperature by placing your hand and counting to 10 seconds. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for them.

  • What you can do: - Provide air conditioning if you can - Lots of shade - Lots of water - Cool mats

  • Pro-tip: Clam shell pools with ice and water are great for them to keep cool
